Glass Black Widow Spider

I was asked if I would make a hanging Glass black widow spider. The loop on the back is for the thread to go through. Here are some pictures of the glass spider.

Glass dragon on a river rolled quartz rock

Here is a Glass Dragon on a river rolled quartz rock. The rock is out of a stream running into Llyn Tegid at the other end of Bala lake. Wendy has done an amazing job of applying oxides to the glass.

Glass Fliying Swallow

I made a glass Swallow which I thought you might like to have a look at. The flowers are sandblasted to give them the frosted effect...

A little spider for the world wide web!

Here is a little glass spider, measuring 2.5 inches high and almost 2 inches wide. The main body is coloured amber using silver oxide before being fired in the kiln. Once that is done he is given his black lamp lacquer stockings. This little beastie will be heading off to Cornwall today!
