Crochet glass by Catherine Carr

What a brilliant day yesterday. I took my dad to visit mums grave. Met Cathy Carr at her studio in Glossop and picked the eldest up from uni. I also walked some old childhood paths and witnesed the amazing changes along them over 50years.

I have seen pictures of Catherine Carr's glass, but to see and hold it was really exciting. 
She creates her pieces by crocheting glass fibre and fusing it before kiln bending it over a mould. She kindly let me bring some back to the Glassblobbery. I can't wait to put it out. :-) if you want to find out more about Cathy and see more of her stunning work visit her website

Next time a rose vase I've been working on, or it could be a dragon... we'll have to see :-)
