The other day Roger (A guy I work with here at the Glassblobbery) took a glass pig on it's back laughing to photograph. Here are the results:

Hopefully the witch I made today will be out of the kiln and stained over the next few days.
I'll post a picture when it's finnished.

Glass Red Griffin

I was asked if I could make a glass griffin. The last ones I made were yellows for The Midland Bank (now part of HSBC) So to be different I made a red glass Griffin....

Tomorrow I think I have a witch on a broom stick among other things to do (well Halloween is not far away). Lets see what happens :)

Glass Hairy Seahorse

I was asked to make a LUSH  Glass Hairy Seahorse. So here it is:
Glass Hairy Seahorse

The red/pink on the hanging glass seahorse is using gold and the amber is using silver. The metals are sprayed on and fired in the kiln so they sink into the surface of the glass. It's hung using fishing wire, which seems rather appropriate. :) You can see another seahorse here: http://bit.ly/17S3l6H
Might do a dragon next time....

Glass red rose

Sometime ago I was asked if  I could make a glass red rose in a dome... Well at last I have found some domes  I'm happy with. I ordered them in Birmingham yesterday. When they arrive the first thing I'm going to do is make some roses go in them. This is the rose I was thinking of:
