Glass Butterfly on twig

I was asked if I make Glass Butterflies so here is a Glass Butterfly on twig…

Glass Butterfly on twig…

The marks on the wings are using a broken old rasp/file. By pressing the glass between two pieces of rasp the lines are pressed in on both sides to create the cross hatching effect. The flowers are sandblasted to give the frosted effect.

I also made a bee for Steve a bee keeper friend from across the valley. I hope to be able to put a picture of that in the next post.

Glass spiders

Here are two glass spiders. One black glass spider and one crystal clear glass spider all good fun.
Remember in the greater scheme of things spiders are on our side...

Here's the clear glass spider...

Crystal clear glass spider

Next time a witch. Till next time then... think 4 people equals 8 legs the same as one spider. But the average number of legs is less than 8.
